When one views the area around Pahrump it becomes obvious that Pahrump does
not just serve itself but is the central shopping point for many rural towns
and communities. Pahrump is the nearest place to shop for towns as far away
as Beatty (73 miles away). People from Amargosa and Beatty, Nevada; to Death
Valley Junction, Furnace Creek, Shoshone, and Tecopa, California have no nearer
market than Pahrump. Pahrump is the only town with the convenience of chain
stores like Albertsons, CVS Pharmacy, Smiths, Walmart, and Walgreens, not to
mention it's wealth of privately owned stores and service businesses. For
some of these towns the nearest banks are located in Pahrump where there are
several to choose from (Bank of America, Community Bank, Nevada Federal Credit
Union, Nevada State Bank, and Wells Fargo Bank). A visit to Las Vegas could
take an added hour of driving or more, making Pahrump the better choice.

If you add the 1,435 from Amargosa and the 1,025 from Beatty and then take into account the populations of Death Valley Junction, Furnace Creek, Shoshone, and Tecopa, the service area for Pahrump has a population base of 40,000. There is an additional snowbird population of 10,000-15,000 a year, people who come to the area for 6-8 months of the year to escape the harsh winters in other parts of the country. Then we have the transient population, which consists of tourists and those passing through. Pahrump is a great location for your business. With the population growing by thousands every year and its ability to service nearby communities, there is a substantial population base to support businesses locating here.
