Pahrump Building Permits

The Pahrump Valley has had tremendous growth in the past several years. The number of building permits issued within Pahrump clearly reveals this. In 1999, there were 112 building permits issued, all of which were for single-family homes. In 2006, of the 1564 building permits issued, only 1018 were for single-family homes. The rest of these permits were for commercial, multi-family residential, and accessory structures. Commercial building, which previously had little, if any, activity annually, now plays an active role in the growth of Pahrump. Single-family homes still holds the top spot on the spectrum accounting for 65% of the building permits.

Development of residential property is occurring throughout the valley. New homes are popping up everywhere.

Aside from building permits, there are also additional permits issued for manufactured homes. In 2005, 194 of these permits were issued while, in 2006, 313 were issued. Even with the large number of site-built houses being built, mobile homes are still a viable option for those moving to the valley.
