The Pahrump Valley Winery opened in 1990 and is located at the base of Mt. Charleston in the booming town of Pahrump. Known for its award-winning wines, in 2006, the winery won 32 national awards. The fruit used for these wonderful wines is brought in from California and Oregon. In summer/fall of 2007 the winery will be releasing the first ever Nevada wine made from grapes grown on winery property. Though the desert may seem a strange place for a winery, you'll find this one to be most enchanting. Not only can you taste some spectacular wines but you can tour the lovely grounds and enjoy the tranquility of the rose garden with its beautiful mountain backdrop. Enjoy a sumptuous meal at the upscale, casual restaurant called Symphony's (open for lunch and dinner) or visit the gift shop for a complete selection of their wines, gift baskets, and more. The Pahrump Valley Winery also has a 196-site RV resort with a clubhouse and pool for those who want to stay a while.
