Employment in Nye County is varied. The major sources of employment are service industries. Professional and business services account for 21% of industry, while leisure and hospitality services account for 16%. Construction has been on a constant rise with the influx of population to the Pahrump area. Also, the hospital that opened in April of 2006 in Pahrump is expected to attract more health care services to Nye County.
