Voter registration in Nye County reflect a majority Republican population. This is true of most of the state, especially the rural communities. Only Clark County (where Las Vegas is located) reflects a Democratic population. Voter registration has risen over the past few years.

Housing units in and Nye County are predominantly mobile homes. However, site-built houses are becoming far more common within the Pahrump Valley as construction is on the rise. Due to the increased population in the Nye County area, the majority of the homes are newer, having been built after 1990.
